The New 18-hole Golf course consists of well-constructed greens with a careful choice of hybrid blend bent-grass which is compatible with the weather at Vet Lab. The greens have been constructed in line with the USPGA recommendations. An effective drainage has been put in place for the same. The total putting surface of all 18 greens is over 10,000 square metres. Factors concerning smoothness, speed and receptiveness were a major consideration during the construction.
All fairways and tees have been planted with local indigenous Kikuyu grass. The fairways are an average width of 40 metres in width. Trees skirting the fairways have also been planted. Approximately 300,000 square metres of grass has been planted utilizing the local casual labor, thereby providing the much needed income for surrounding families.
